2008 St. Patrick’s Day Celebration
Our annual Month of Mercy kicks off on Saturday, February 17th. This month is dedicated to raising money and awareness for Mercy Home for Boys and Girls and is full of Irish flare. Our raffle and annual “Shamrocks for Kids” campaign are in full swing until March 17th.

16th Annual Oh Danny Boy Contest
Warm your pipes with an artfully poured Pint of Guinness before you sing in our 16th Annual “Oh Danny Boy” Singing Contest! Our masters of ceremony this year are Gerre McPartlin and Tom LeClair. Gerre and Time will be joined by a distinguished panel of local Irish judges.. The Shannon Rovers Irish Pipe Band will open our event with their rendition of “Oh Danny Boy”. There is no cost to participate in the contest and advanced sign-up is not required. Prospective contestants are, however, strongly encouraged to arrive by 5:30pm both nights to ensure a place in the competition. Prizes will be awarded to three lucky winners. All come out to be part of the audience are sure to have a great time!
inaugural gathering of A celtic ceile at o’briens!

Join in the fun of a traditional Irish gathering of dance, music and spirit! Our Ceile will take place on Saturday, March 15th and Monday, March 17th.
Jump into the cheerful and lively music. Sean Cleland, director of The Irish Music School of Chicago will lead us in these traditional Irish dances with a short instructional session. New, and even seasoned dancers, have no fear… these steps are easily learned. This is a great event for the whole family. No experience or partner is needed. Smaller children can join in the fun during our afternoon Ceile! Special guests will be in attendance to kick off O’Brien’s newest Paddy’s Day event.
